Minglewood is the place to meet your friends for great food, creative cocktails and live music. We feature daily specials from Taco Tuesday to Whiskey Wednesdays to 1/2 price cocktails T-S 4-6pm and brunch on the weekends from 11-4pm.

Current Sustainable Practices

Below are the initiatives Minglewood has completed on the Green Check scorecard.

Sustainability Management and The Green Team

  • Designated a Sustainability Coordinator responsible for managing sustainability initiatives.
  • Holds quarterly Green Team meetings.
  • Provides time for quarterly updates from Sustainability Coordinator in upper management meetings.

Awareness, Education, and Outreach

  • Provides a sustainability information board in a common area such as a break room or kitchen.
  • Promotesss sustainability accomplishments in external marketing materials (website, social media, newsletter, press releases, TV/radio ads).
  • Includes a sustainability statement and training in all new hire materials.

Energy Efficiency

  • Established a power-down policy and checklist that includes items such as shutting off lights at night.
  • Set water heater thermostats to a maximum of 120 degrees or install an inline water heater.
  • Replaced incandescent or CFL lights with LED lights 76-100% replacement.
  • Upgraded all Exit signs to LED.
  • Established a regular filter maintenance policy for your HVAC system.
  • Had HVAC system evaluated every 2 years by a certified service provider.
  • Established a dress code that encourages employees to dress for thermal comfort.
  • Installed power strips for computers and equipment to power down during non-business hours.
  • Installed occupancy sensors in bathrooms, meeting room, and other infrequently used areas.
  • Installed or upgrade to energy efficient fans.
  • Installed energy efficient (i.e. Energy Star) rated windows in all conditioned spaces.
  • Daylight work spaces wherever possible.

Waste Reduction and Recycling

  • Implements a basic recycling program.
  • Provided clearly marked recycling bins at work stations and/or in common areas. Recycling bins must be paired with a waste bin.
  • Uses reusable mugs and dish ware instead of disposable plates, cups, and utensils.
  • Established a policy for environmentally friendly printing such as twosided printing, reusing copy paper, and electronic document sharing.
  • Created a landfill diversion goal.
  • Replaced at least 50% of paper stock with post-consumer recycled paper.

Water Quality 

  • Established a policy for proper disposal of fats, oils, and grease, distribute to staff, and post in key areas.
  • Installed outdoor ash trays to prevent cigarette litter, and make pocket ash trays available to staff who smoke.

Urban Forestry and Landscapes

  • Established a native species-only plant replacement policy for tree and shrub planting.

Sustainable Purchasing

  • Established a policy for reducing the toxic chemicals/materials in your workplace.
  • Established a policy to purchase non-Styrofoam cups and plates for use at the workplace or at events.
  • Established a policy for purchasing locally.
  • Established a policy for purchasing environmentally-friendly cleaning products.

Transportation Efficiency

  • Established a no-idling policy.
  • Held an employee seminar highlighting alternative modes of transportation.
  • Installed weather-protected bike storage (indoor or outdoor).
