Support Green Check Businesses During COVID-19 Shutdown

Now more than ever local businesses need your help! Below is a list of a few of our Green Check businesses that are still operating and would appreciate any support you can offer.

Food, Beverage, and Grocery

A Cup of Common Wealth – Curbside pick up and delivery is available. Please call (859) 255-0270 to place an order at their Lexington location. Follow their Facebook page for updates.

Broomwagon Bikes & Coffee – Carry out orders available by calling 859-554-6938. Follow their Facebook page for updates.

Carsons’s Food & Drink – Curbside takeout orders starting at 11:30AM until 9 PM Monday through Sunday. They are also doing half off bottles of wine. Private bourbon selections are for retail sale and for every $20 you spend on takeout service they give you a five dollar gift card redeemable when they reopen. Follow their Facebook page for updates.

Crank & Boom Ice Cream – Both locations are offering curbside and delivery services. Please follow their Facebook page for updates.

Good Foods Co-op – Special shopping hour for seniors (8-9 am, Monday-Friday) and the immune-compromised (8-9 am, Saturday & Sunday), and closing for an hour in the afternoon (2-3 pm every day) to do a thorough store cleaning as well as offering their staff a much-deserved break. As a smaller store, Good Foods Co-op makes it easier for shoppers to get in and out quickly and it’s easy to find a staff member if you need help locating a product or have a question. Follow their Facebook page for updates.

West Sixth Brewing – Curbside pickup Thursday-Sunday 12-2pm & 4-7:30pm. You can place an order at westsixth.com/curbside OR place an order for a beer box delivery at westsixth.com/delivery

Hardware

Perspectives, Inc. – Carrying cleaners and safety products. Mask are gone, but gloves and advanced breathing mask and cartridges are still in stock. The AME Group (previously Integrity IT) – AME will continue to offer services in a remote setting. Please visit their website to learn more. Landscaping & Tree Service

Bluegrass Landscapes – Still operational. Please visit their website for information on their services. 

EARTHeim Landscape Design Studio – Still able to offer all services including consultations, garden coaching, design, and installation. Consultations and garden coaching are outside, and easy to do with social distancing. For design services, EARTHeim can easily set up virtual meetings. Wrigley Media Group – Wrigley Media Group is servicing their clients remotely. They are still able to produce video with stock, motion graphics and animation and execute digital distribution; just not doing live video shoots on location.  Please visit their website for more information. 

Non-Profits & Religious Centers

Bluegrass United Church of Christ – BUCC has switched to virtual/live-streaming Sunday Services (on Facebook and Youtube Live) as well as nightly 30-minute check-ins on Facebook Live. For the nightly check-ins, the pastors take turns chatting/socializing with viewers, reading scripture or a story, and to pray. Lexington Habitat for Humanity – Habitat has a few ways to support: Though the need for a stable, affordable place to live is clearer than ever, it just became much more difficult to achieve. Lexington Habitat has been preparing to build nine homes in partnership with low income families in 2020. Due to COVID-19, they have had to temporarily close their ReStore locations and suspend all volunteer activity and events. This loss of revenue is immediately impacting their ability to serve families. This is a critical moment for Lexington Habitat. Pet Care
